La Cova Tallada is a cave located on the northern slope of Cap Sant Antoni, Xàbia, above sea level. It is about 75 meters wide and about 15 meters high. Used since time immemorial to extract “rough” stone for the construction of the most unique buildings in Xàbia. It is an area of extraordinary environmental sensitivity since the Cave is located within the Cap Sant Antoni Marine Reserve and its accesses within the Montgó Natural Park, therefore it is essential to respect the rules and take all the indicated precautions for its safety. maintenance and conservation. Access According to the Resolution of June 10 of the General Directorate of Natural Environment and Environmental Assessment of the Generalitat Valenciana, in the summer period (between June 15 and September 30), it is mandatory to request prior authorization to access the Cova Tallada both by land and by sea.
